Belvoir Vale RDA Charity was founded in 2015

It is Lesley Davies and her dedicated team’s belief in the therapeutic and healing power of horses, their tireless passion for helping others and their vision of what a truly accessible riding centre could be, that led to the design, build and opening of Belvoir Vale RDA on its current Cropwell Bishop site in September 2023.

The facility spans 27 acres and includes an indoor arena, outdoor arena, clubhouse, American barn stables, carriage driving and hacking track and a rewilding area.

The centre is run by a team of highly skilled staff, coaches, volunteers and overseen by a deeply passionate Board of Trustees. Their aim is to offer therapeutic riding, carriage driving and horse related activities for the broadest range of abilities, across all ages, throughout the year, within a beautiful and naturally healing setting.

The opening in 2023, marked the beginning of a 20 year plan for fostering and growing RDA provision within the local area, the social benefits of which will be considerable.

Meet the team

Belvoir Vale RDA is largely run by a team of incredible volunteers who give up their time to support the center in a number of ways – helping during the sessions, fundraising, administration of the charity, and (of course) keeping the yard in check, with all the muck and mud that entails!

We’d love to introduce you to some of the key volunteers, alongside a few paid members of staff, who keep the charity running; and, they can’t wait to meet you too!
