Belvoir Vale rises to the challenge of hosting it first Regional Event

This week it was a very proud moment for Belvoir Vale RDA – it was our first time hosting a Regional Event and wow did our riders shine!

Across the week we saw some amazing Countryside Challenge action from 25 riders representing Belvoir Vale, Cleethorpes & Grimsby, Kimberley House, Nottingham, Scropton and Wenlo RDA groups who rode their Countryside Challenge rounds in front of judges Doug Smith & Alison Morris.

In dressage, Belvoir Vale RDA had five of its six amazing riders qualify. Mia & Puddle won a very competitive class & were awarded the Pumpkin shield for highest scoring Junior, Oscar on Alfie were 0.5% behind in second & Barnaby & KitKat 0.5% behind them in 3rd. To add to those amazing performances, Tom on KitKat & Jamie on Tommy won their respective classes too !!

All in all we have 12 Belvoir Vale RDA riders qualify for either dressage or Countryside Challenge RDA National Championships.

Huge congratulations to those riders who are heading to the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) National Championships in July at Hartpury College joining our Dressage and Show Jumping riders representing North Midlands Region!

And of course, a huge thank you to all the fantastic Event Volunteers for their amazing help at the qualifiers. You are all amazing and we couldn’t do it without you.
