Lois Callaghan started as a volunteer with Belvoir Vale RDA in 2020 and quickly went on to become a Trustee and the Safeguarding Officer. She is a retired NHS Primary Care Manager, with a lifelong passion for all things equine and loves to share her passion for horses with others. Lois says of her involvement, “it is a privilege to witness the huge benefits that participants experience.”
Lois also recently qualified as an RDA Driving Coach and is delighted to be offering carriage driving for participants at Belvoir Vale, a new activity that everyone is very excited about.
“The first time I took the carriage around the riding track at the centre past all the lovely horses in the paddocks I had a huge smile on my face and thought how lucky we are to have this opportunity and how many people will benefit from it. It is just the start of an exciting journey.”
