Jayne Allwood is a mum to two teenagers and horses have always been a big part of her life. Jayne trained at an equine college and has worked in the multiple different equine fields over the years. She came into contact with RDA through a previous employment and started working as a volunteer.
Jayne has now been involved with Belvoir Vale RDA for over seven years and her current role includes stable and field management, horse welfare and helping with the lessons.
The favourite part of Jayne’s day is seeing the groups of children arriving for their lessons, truly excited to be there. “It really does warm my heart” says Jayne, who also enjoys the mentoring side of her role and seeing young people who are shy and quiet, blossom into independent, confident members of the team.
